Itinerary
Day 01 :
Arrival in Rajkot & Travel to Dwarka
- Morning: Arrive in Rajkot via air or train.
- Afternoon: Begin your journey to Dwarka. The drive will take you through the scenic landscape of Gujarat. Upon arrival in Dwarka, check into your hotel and take some time to relax and freshen up.
- Late Afternoon: Visit the main Dwarkadhish Temple (Jagat Mandir). This temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna, is a significant pilgrimage site.
- Evening: Witness the mesmerizing evening aarti at the Dwarkadhish Temple. Afterward, you can take a walk along Gomti Ghat, the sacred meeting point of the Gomti River and the Arabian Sea.
- Overnight Stay: Dwarka
Day 02 :
Dwarka - Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, and Rukmini Devi Temple
- Morning: After breakfast, embark on a trip to the sacred island of Bet Dwarka. You will travel to Okha port and take a ferry to the island. Bet Dwarka is believed to be the ancient residence of Lord Krishna.
- Afternoon: Return to the mainland and visit the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The temple is famous for a large, imposing statue of Shiva.
- Late Afternoon: On the way back to your hotel, visit the Rukmini Devi Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna's wife, Rukmini. The temple is known for its beautiful murals and carvings.
- Evening: Stroll along the Dwarka Beach or Sudama Setu, a bridge with five sweet-water wells. You can enjoy the serene coastal atmosphere and the sunset.
- Overnight Stay: Dwarka
Day 03 :
Dwarka to Somnath via Porbandar
- Morning: After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, start your journey to Somnath.
- En-route (Porbandar): Stop in Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. Visit Kirti Mandir, the memorial house where Gandhi was born, which is now a museum. You can also visit Sudama Mandir, a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna's friend, Sudama.
- Afternoon: Continue your drive to Somnath. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and get ready for a spiritual evening.
- Late Afternoon: Visit Bhalka Tirth, a significant pilgrimage site believed to be where Lord Krishna was wounded by a hunter's arrow.
- Evening: Head to the magnificent Somnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Witness the famous evening aarti and absorb the spiritual energy of the temple. You can also enjoy the "Jay Somnath" Sound and Light show (subject to availability and schedule).
Day 04 :
Somnath Sightseeing & Departure to Rajkot
- Morning: After an early breakfast, visit Triveni Sangam Ghat, the confluence of the Hiran, Kapila, and mythical Saraswati rivers. The spot is considered highly sacred for taking a holy dip.
- Late Morning: Visit Gita Mandir and Dehotsarg Tirth, which are located near the Triveni Sangam and hold great mythological importance.
- Afternoon: Check out from your hotel and begin your return journey to Rajkot.
- Late Afternoon/Evening: Arrive in Rajkot for your onward travel.
