Itinerary
Day 01 :
Arrival in Rajkot & Travel to Dwarka
- Morning: Arrive at Rajkot. Meet and greet with your driver/guide and begin your journey to Dwarka.
- Afternoon: Check into your hotel in Dwarka and freshen up. You can enjoy a peaceful lunch at a local restaurant.
- Late Afternoon: Visit the main Dwarkadhish Temple (Jagat Mandir). This is the primary temple of the Char Dham pilgrimage and is dedicated to Lord Krishna.
- Evening: Witness the spectacular evening aarti at the Dwarkadhish Temple. Afterward, you can take a holy dip at Gomti Ghat, where the Gomti River meets the Arabian Sea.
- Overnight Stay: Dwarka
Day 02 :
Dwarka - Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, and Rukmini Devi Temple
- Morning: After breakfast, head to Okha port to catch a ferry to Bet Dwarka. This is a small island believed to be Lord Krishna's home during his rule. Visit the temple and other significant sites on the island.
- Afternoon: Return to the mainland and proceed to the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.
- Late Afternoon: Visit the beautiful Rukmini Devi Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna's chief queen, Rukmini.
- Evening: Explore the coastal beauty of Dwarka. You can visit Sudama Setu or enjoy the sunset at Dwarka Lighthouse or Dwarka Beach.
- Overnight Stay: Dwarka
Day 03 :
Dwarka to Somnath via Porbandar
- Morning: After an early breakfast, check out and begin your drive to Somnath.
- En-route (Porbandar): Stop in Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. Visit Kirti Mandir, his ancestral home and a museum. You can also visit Sudama Mandir, a temple dedicated to Sudama, Lord Krishna's childhood friend.
- Afternoon: Continue your journey to Somnath. Check into your hotel upon arrival.
- Late Afternoon: Visit Bhalka Tirth, a sacred place where Lord Krishna is said to have been mistakenly shot by a hunter before ascending to his heavenly abode.
- Evening: Head to the main Somnath Temple. Attend the divine evening aarti and experience the spiritual ambiance. You can also stay for the "Jay Somnath" Sound and Light Show.
- Overnight Stay: Somnath
Day 04 :
Somnath - Day Trip to Diu
- Morning: After an early breakfast, embark on a day trip to the island of Diu. The drive is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.
- Diu Sightseeing (Part 1): Visit the majestic Diu Fort, a massive Portuguese fortress with stunning views of the sea. Explore the old town and its colonial architecture.
- Diu Sightseeing (Part 2): Discover the natural wonder of the Naida Caves, a network of stunning rock formations. Enjoy some time at Nagoa Beach, a popular beach known for its serene environment and water sports.
- Late Afternoon: Visit St. Paul's Church, a beautiful example of Baroque architecture, and the Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple, where five shivalingas are washed by the sea waves at high tide.
- Evening: Drive back to Somnath.
- Overnight Stay: Somnath
Day 05 :
Somnath Sightseeing & Departure to Rajkot
- Morning: After breakfast, visit the Triveni Sangam Ghat, the confluence of the Hiran, Kapila, and mythical Saraswati rivers. Take a holy dip if you wish.
- Late Morning: Visit Gita Mandir and Dehotsarg Tirth, which are located nearby and hold great mythological significance.
- Afternoon: Check out from your hotel and begin your drive back to Rajkot for your onward journey.
